    Ark is looking for a lead teacher who loves inspiring creativity and learning in a unique school environment. If you want to make a difference for young children- this is the place for you!

    This is a full-time lead teacher position, M-F. Must be reliable, compassionate and love working with children.

    Classroom education experience required.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $16.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week

    • CDA (Preferred)

    Experience:

    • Early Childhood classroom: 1 year (Required)

    Job Duties include:

    Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
    - Promote healthy eating practices
    - Maintain a safe environment
    - Sanitize toys, tables, cribs and cots daily
    - Supervise children at all times
    - Administer first aid as needed
    - Follow state guidelines regarding diaper changing, serving meals and hand washing procedures

    Advance physical and intellectual competence of children
    - Use equipment and materials for indoor and outdoor play that promote children’s physical, cognitive and language development
    - Involve children in planning and implementing learning activities by listening to children’s interests and providing materials and time to develop projects
    - Help implement experiences that promote language and literacy development
    - Encourage creative expression

    Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
    - Implement hands-on activities that develop positive self-esteem
    - Promote hands-on activities to enhance social skills
    - Provide experiences that raise awareness of cultural diversity
    - Use and promotes positive guidance techniques
    - Assist with a wide variety of creative and expressive activities
    - Communicate with children at their developmental level
    - Encourage children to be independent

    Establish positive and productive relationships with families
    - Communicate information about child’s day with parents

    Establish an orderly and organized classroom
    - Prepare program supplies and materials before implementing activities
    - Maintain records and reports
    - Implement planned educational experiences to foster social skills and encourage children to think, problem solve, question and experiment
